Two Google Talk windows loading, one in the Gmail tab and one in the G tab
As an avid gmail and gtalk user I’ve recently been bugged by having two gtalk windows pop up when someone chats with you. Obviously this only happens when you have both gmail and the new g+ open in seperate tabs. Conversations show up on both tabs, but not consistently, friends may reply and it will show up on one, but not the other chat box in the other tab. However if you close one chat window both disappear.
The simple solution to this annoyance is to sign out of gtalk in one window. Simply click the drop-down arrow next to the Chat heading and select “Sign out of chat”, that will disconnect you from the chat in the chosen tab but leave the other one up and running.
Voila, no more confusing chat windows! Enjoy!
