Step-By-Step Guide to ReVirginize or Restore your iPhone/iPod
Here is a pretty straightforward and simple process to reset them all, it is called “ReVirginize” or restoring your iPhone.
Just to be clear about this but “ReVerginizing” your iPhone will clear all your personal data, such as songs, videos, contacts, photos, calendar information, etc. and your iPhone’s settings will be restored to their factory settings.
Step-by-step guide to revirginize or restore your iPhone and/or iPods:
- Connect your device to your computer and select your iPhone/iPod from the list of devices in iTunes.
- In the Summary Tab, click on the “Restore” button.
- iTunes should prompt you if you would wish to take a backup of your iPhone before restoring. Select “Backup”.
- After the backup is completed select the “Restore” option when iTunes prompts you.
- Once the restore process has completed your iPhone will restart.
- After the restore is complete and your iPhone restarts you will see the “Connect to Activate” screen. You must continue to keep your iPhone connected to complete activation.
- The last step is to set up your iPhone as a “new iPhone” when prompted, et volia you have a “clean” phone again which can be sold without giving away all you data…
Happy E-baying! :D
