250 Canon DSLRS hooked up as massive old-school LCD Display?

Don’t know what to do with your 250 Canon DSLRs? Why not be as creative as the japanese band “Androp”? For their music video to their new song “Bright Siren” they strung up 250 cameras with their shoemounted flashes on a rig to create a massive old-school LCD display that would make every photographers heart miss a beat. The whole setup was controlled and programmed using a mix of flash, openframework and arduino.

The new Androp album “Relight”, including the song “Bright Siren”, will be available in stores and for download starting September 21st.

You can argue about the music, but as a little DIY project that LCD screen sure is neat. I wonder what the pictures look like that the cameras took? :)
